February 7 – Saturday – Ride Planning Meeting at Cross Keys Diner.
Lunch at 1:00. Meeting at 2:30. We have the use of the banquet room at no charge so please come for lunch to help show our appreciation.
We had a wide variety of rides in 2008 with many people leading rides that have not done so before. New rides and new ride leaders aid in maintaining a fresh and interesting ride schedule. Start thinking about what rides you would like to lead or maybe you would like to provide information for a ride and have someone else lead it.
A "Chapter Ride" should be a ride that you create and not be associated with another organization or group. It can be evening rides during the week or weekend, a half-day, full day or a 2-day ride on Saturday or Sunday. Keep in mind that your ride does not require a destination although it should be a planned ride with a route laid out that you intend to use. Some of the best rides are ones with no destination and on a nice country road. I favor hilly twisty roads but there are a lot of other good roads out there that make an excellent ride. A lunch or ice cream stop is nice to include also.
